Pastor Shawn Brooks is a native of Petersburg, Virginia, and a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps. At age 18 He accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and soon after answered the call to preach the gospel. Sharing this decision with family and friends was met with surprise, but the truth was, God had begun a mighty work in him.
His journey of faith began in earnest while stationed in Southern California, where he joined a newly formed ministry. There, Pastor Brooks served faithfully for 16 years, growing in his calling and developing as a leader. Under the mentorship of Dr. Steve Cooper of Nu Way International Christian Ministries, he was licensed, ordained, and served as the church’s first assistant.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice, and a Certificate in Business Administration and is deeply committed to serving both the spiritual and practical needs of others.
Today, as the Senior Pastor of Greater Works Christian Fellowship, Pastor Brooks leads with compassion, strength, and unwavering faith. His mission is to Build, Empower, Strenthern, and Teach (B.E.S.T.) God’s people that they can live without limitations—walking boldly in their calling and doing the “Greater Works” that Jesus promised.
